Here is a shop ofagadir which will change you from kilim carpets, leather mules and jackets, cedar objects and other usual souvenirs of Moroccan craftsmanship. L'Echappée belle, Berber stage, while not denying local ties, made in the contemporary gift chosen with care and insight by the mistress of the place, the FrenchIsabelle de Balathier.

 

L'Echappée belle is located in the heart of the old Talborj district, which partly withstood the 1960 earthquake and retains its soul. We reach itin 50 minutes from the Jardin aux Etoiles. If you come by car, park in the small car park next toBahia hotel.

 

A charming nest

 

The brand sets the tone: the graphic style is Parisian. Here, however, no ex-colonizer morgue! The manager is friendly. She has woven an exclusive network of suppliers, most of them based in southern Morocco, whom she  knows like the back of her hand, fromTafraout ToMarrakesh, from Essaouira to Agadir. 

 

Over the years, she has built a charming nest, which is distinguished by a marked feminine touch.

 

Very diverse objects

 

You will find a wide variety of objects there, which our photos review: customized baskets, revisited beldi stools, cushions, photos, felt slippers, bags, accessories and furniture in inner tubes and tires, but also homemade jams, tablecloths, table runners, bibs and baby shoes, honey, local products.
