The Little Douiria Museum: authentic and unpretentious

It is a small, authentic and unpretentious museum that pays tribute to Amazigh (Berber) culture. Located right next to the Jardin aux Etoiles, it is called Douiria. Traditionally, this name refers to the master of the house’s quarters, designed to receive visitors from outside the family.

The Douiria Museum was founded by a resident of Ouled Teima named Moundir. It's a bit of a hodgepodge. Inside, you'll find artifacts of Amazigh culture: traditional wooden doors, colorful clothing and necklaces, everyday objects, agricultural tools, jars, and wrought iron. Photographs pay tribute to ordinary Moroccans.

The owner likes to invite musicians, as well as friends, as can be seen in the images above .
