A petanque court has been set up in the Jardin aux Etoiles, so as to allow our guests to enjoy moments of conviviality around a glass of wine that they will have bought from Atacadao or simply by tasting the "champagne of Ouled Alioua", made of ice water from our well with the juice of several of the lemons of our garden. 

 

Is pétanque a sport or just a relaxing activity? Originally a typically Provençal leisure activity, boules is in any case recognized as a competitive sport. It is regulated by the International Federation of Petanque and Provençal Game. It is therefore (also) serious. 

 

Reminiscent of the French Protectorate, petanque clubs have survived in the Agadir region. For example, there is one in Ouled Teima. Their champions are very proud of their laurels!

The land of the Jardin aux Etoiles was installed to the east of the riad, between it and the chemin du Levant which borders it. It is surrounded by very diverse vegetation: cypresses, fig trees, but also peach trees, papaya trees, orange trees, lemon trees, lavender.

 

Within everyone's reach, pétanque is played at all ages.our steward. We searched for these leisure balls in many stores in Agadir. None of them sells... It was therefore necessary to transport this box of Obut brand. We also provide a second game adapted to the size of children. The rules of the game are explained.here.
