Le Jardin aux Etoiles
Riad between Agadir and Taroudant, in southern Morocco
Holiday rental with a resident of Swiss nationality
Cinq mondes Lounge and office
Unlike all the other rooms in your rental riad, whose decor expresses Morocco and Agadir, the Cinq mondes Lounge includes objects from all over the world. Serving as a desk, it certainly highlights a large wooden Berber table, twin to that of the Atlas lounge. But for the rest, the five continents are in the spotlight.
The office includes a printer-copier, with scanner. This installation can be used, with authorization from Ayoub. Our guests are responsible for any inappropriate use, for example by inexperienced children.
The arts, from Venice to India
On the ceiling, the chandelier is in Venetian glass (Murano), while a plaster wave symbolizes the oceans that cover most of our Earth. The paintings show very different places. An oil on canvas by the Swiss artist Marco Richterich recreates the atmosphere of London. Ideograms sum up the thinking of the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu, who initiated Taoism. Naked bodies united by a golden veil, coming from Santorini island, and a copy of ancient vase named crater celebrate the civilization of ancient Greece.
A collection of porcelain thimbles is a nod to Great Britain. Oils and watercolors, as well as a clock from Directoire-style are a tribute to Neuchâtel country. The library contains works on plants, animals, as well as novels.
There are also objects from India (Shiva Nataraja) and black Africa. The office table lamp represents a bouquet of roses in wrought iron of great finesse, like we don't do that anymore.
Authentic objects brought back from these lands.
