Le Jardin aux Etoiles
Riad between Agadir and Taroudant, in southern Morocco
Holiday rental with a resident of Swiss nationality
Taroudant room: very nice
The Taroudant room is the extension, on the second floor, of the Marrakesh suite. It is reached by a colorful staircase in Fez zelliges, and by a door with Berber motifs. Small and nice, the room that celebrates the small town of Taroudant includes a wrought iron double bed. This replaced the original click-clack.
The mattress is of Kinedorsal quality and rather hard. The bedding is French style: bottom sheet, top sheets, duvets and duvet covers, pillows and pillow covers. You can also use the Nordic formula: only fitted sheet and duvet, which is more practical and pleasant in hot weather.
Neat decoration
On the east wall, a patchwork of goatskin from Taroudant tannery. It harmonizes with the colors of the room. A very large kilim rug lying in the great tradition of Taznakht facing him, in the stairwell. A giant slipper completes the decor. Children's books are available in the library.
The French window and the two windows have hand-woven curtains from Kasbat Souss and made especially to match the colors of this room.
Very large terrace with awning
As the Agadir room, the Taroudant room gives access to one of the upper terraces. Thesegenerous25 square meters tiled has a wooden and reed canopy. On one side, a bougainvillea and one morning glory, on the other a crucifer with myrtle leaves, all three planted in terracotta pots from Pottery of Souss Massa. They are intended to partially cover the awning.
Two armchairs and a fiberglass table allow you to drink tea, read a book or dream... under the stars. In summer, you can add one or two inflatable mattresses.
