Danialand with Waterpark, a giant leisure park in Agadir
Danialand is a giant amusement park located in the hills above Agadir, north of the Agadir Oufella Kasbah . It features a spectacular, high-quality water park that appeals to younger visitors, as well as two passenger planes converted into restaurants. Over the years, other attractions have been added to Danialand, transforming it into a top-tier playground that has positioned Agadir as a leading seaside destination. Danialand is less than an hour's drive from our riad.
The waterpark at Danialand amusement park in Agadir opened its doors on June 21, 2024. Visitors immediately praised the high level of service during the park's initial development phase, as well as the exceptional professionalism of the staff. According to the operator, the water park boasts no fewer than 10 pools and 27 water slides of varying colors (black, red, blue, and green), depending on their speed. The tallest tower, topped with a pirate flag, reaches a height of 17 meters and features 16 attractions. A one-kilometre-long lazy river invites visitors to relax and float along. Colours, fantasy and countless play options await visitors, not to mention the special events organised from time to time. One of the pools is shaped like a guitar. An indoor pool is specially designed for winter swimming. A restaurant serves culinary specialities on site.
Safety and water requirements
These facilities are designed for the summer season, but some remain open throughout the rest of the year, which is advertised accordingly. In terms of safety, Danialand highlights the presence of qualified lifeguards and a first-aid post equipped with medical supplies at the park entrance. Huge reservoirs have been created to meet the water park’s substantial water requirements. According to unconfirmed reports, this water is drawn from the sea below.
Some people criticise the admission prices, considering them too high, but they are in fact justified by the quality of the facilities. The facilities are first-class. There’s no denying the modern feel! Here are the current prices :
Some consider these amounts unaffordable for the average Moroccan, particularly families, which is regrettable. However, others argue that they are not only justified by the services provided, but also necessary to maintain the infrastructure in excellent condition. This debate remains open.
Access Route
Plans are in place to make Danialand accessible in the future via a cable car leading to the Kasbah, a popular tourist site offering a unique experience between the sea and the mountains. However, the second section of this cable car, which will connect the Kasbah to Danialand, is not yet operational.
The amusement park is accessible via a 3 km road that starts at the foot of the Kasbah and leads to the Danialand car park (see map below). Danialand can be reached by car, bus or taxi.

Transported from Turkey to Agadir, two Airbus fuselages have been completely refitted to house two spectacular restaurants, scheduled to open in the summer of 2026. The menu will feature French and Italian cuisine, with views of the commercial port. The wings are equipped with terraces. One is decorated for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the other for the 2030 World Cup.
These restaurants are scheduled to operate until midnight. This nighttime opening is intended to be lively: light shows, performances and shows accompanied by cultural and artistic activities, in parallel with the daytime activities of the water park.
Later stages could include a park featuring miniature replicas of Morocco's most iconic buildings, or even go-kart tracks. But nothing is official, and surprises could still occur .
